Principal’s Welcome
Welcome to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, home of the Wildcats! We are blessed to be a school community with over 500 students in Preschool – 8th Grade.
In 2003, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School opened its doors to less than 180 students. A vision was created and executed by Fr. Kieran Kleczewski and many leaders from both the parish and school who full-heartedly believed in the mission of Catholic education. Today, we have an impeccable reputation as being one of the top Catholic schools in the valley. Our staff maintains the highest of academic standards with 66% of staff holding a Master's degree.
The Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix, expressed in his article Evangelizing though Catholic Schools: “Catholic schools assist the Church in her mission of evangelization in 5 ways: To be a place of encounter with the living Jesus Christ; To be places of Spirit-filled community; To impart a Catholic worldview through curriculum; To assist students in becoming free, and To send students out as missionary disciples to transform the culture."
Catholic education is an investment in our children’s faith and catholic identity at our school is ever-growing and a constant focus for our school. Our greatest accomplishment is building our Catholic identity every day to ensure our students understand and accomplish the ideals of being good stewards of our faith.
We encourage our students and families to model discipleship through our Schoolwide Learning Expectations (SLE). We promote our Catholic faith through prayer and studies starting the moment students enter our Preschool program. Our spiritual journey is a daily work in progress and we are committed to our student's spiritual development along with their academic achievements.
Along with academic curriculum, St. Thomas Aquinas has a strong vision for offering enrichment programs. Our students also are active in the parish ministries of altar serving, lectoring, and ushering.
We thank our school families and parishioners for their continued prayers and their support with the Catholic Education Arizona (CEA) tax credit program. This program is instrumental in assisting our families with their financial obligation.
